It's been a crazy week around the Authentique Paper office - shipping out the Free Bird series AND our brand new Collection, Gathering, finishing a re-model of our office expansion, designing some beautiful new lines for the Winter CHA show, the list goes on and on...
Before I get too far into my babbling, we told you we may have something up our sleeve in addition to the Northridge Media "Glowing" give-away. First, thank you all so much for finding us on Facebook and becoming a fan of Authentique Paper. 48 winners were chosen by Northridge, so we thought we'd round up - cap it off at 50 and give away two more "Glowing" prize packs! So, two random winners were chosen this morning:
Congratulations: Lisa Rodriguez and Nancy Beardsley Benham!!!
Please email email@example.com, subject line: "Two more Glowing winners!" along with your mailing address, and we'll send you Glowing kit!
In other news: I (Sam) am going to hog this blog post and share a few highlights from my trip to the Netherlands last week. I had the opportunity to participate in the Fairytale Event put on by the amazing Truike Bron, owner of the cutest, boutique paper craft store, Paper & Pictures. I was lucky enough to spend time with some of the most friendly, welcoming women I have ever met...and to top it all off, the event was held in a castle!
Cordine & Liane (Fairytale Event participants)
We held a V.I.P. class taught by Jolan Muers - this was honestly one of the coolest classes I have personally seen using our Journey Collection. Because of the high quality, heavy weight and texture of our paper, Jolan was able to create gift boxes, using paper only! It was a great technique - thank you so much Jolan! (Check out more pics on the Authentique Paper Facebook page.)
The talented Trisha Ladouceur taught a class using "Gathering" - and wow - was it spectacular! Trisha is able to use her skills to create projects using Authentique Paper products - creativity plays a part when working with our products because we are specifically a paper company - we don't currently offer brads, ribbon, flowers, etc., but our products are always affordable (either $1 or $2 - except paper pads) and our super heavy-weight papers and die-cuts are ALL double sided! This offers versatility and endless ways to add dimension to your projects by layering and using a product as simple as pop-dots! Thank you Trisha - Team Authentique as well as your class participants all adore your work!
I will admit - prior to the event, Trisha and I snuck away on a whirlwind day-trip to Paris...the day started well before the sun came up, and didn't end until the wee hours of the morning. No one will believe us when we say we spent 22 hours in Paris and saw it all, but I assure you, we did! What an adventure!

After the three day event, Truike of Paper & Pictures treated us to a day in Amsterdam to cap off our trip and show us the sites and sounds of this historic city. Thank you Truike for a memorable week full of laughs, crafts and most of all wonderful memories!

I guess I should wrap up this way-too-long blog post, but I want to extend my thanks to our loyal Authentique Paper friends, retailers and fans. We appreciate your business and value the time and energy spent, no matter your place in the paper crafting world - each of us add value and breathe life into this wonderful industry. I wish you all a fabulous weekend!
