Boy's of the harvest...

DT member Loes shares two projects today for her first post as a DT member! We hope you enjoy her unique style as well as the heart and soul she puts into all of her work!

When I first saw the papers from the "Genuine" collection, I knew exactly which photos I wanted to use! Sometimes it happens instantly and when you see the papers you know exactly which photos you want to use. I know Authentique has mentioned they hope you will never have to stage a photo to use their products, and it is so true for me and the Genuine collection!

Above and below are a couple of photos I took last summer during the grain harvest here in Holland. The color of our boys in their blue jeans, covered in dust from the grain, the smell of the harvest, etc. - these feelings from the harvest "are" this collection for me...

With how busy my boys are, they always make time for me to take some photos, which I love! {Of course I have more photos but I'm saving some of them to use in a mini album...}

Flowers and boys don't usually mix well for me, but this time I punched the flowers from jeans and canvas and made a centerpiece with a gear.

{Tip: By using foam tape you get much more depth in a layout}

Also, I re-styled a wine bottle by giving it a new label. To me, it is so much nicer to give away a bottle of wine with a personal message or accent added!

For this project, I have used the "Loyal" Collection, however, only papers with blue tones.

Thank you for stopping by the Authentique blog today. Enjoy using our papers and please remember show us your projects on Facebook, we love to see what you create!

Suplies used: loyal, genuine desgin papers & stickers
Ranger distress ink chipped sapphire
Sizzix flower layers #7, washer border, square ornate, mini gear, styled labels
Tim Holts stamps, hitch fastener,word bands, hinge clip
Mratha Stewart punch
brads, twine, keeperband, spacer

    Groetjes Anita

  2. Lovely work! I too am not a flower-on-a-boy-layout kind of girl but these converted me in 3 seconds flat! Love the denim with the line. Great photos too. I am looking forward to that mini, now!

    groetjes,
