Quilting Authentique Style!

I am always so inspired by quilts.  From the fabric patterns and  color combinations, to the amazing designs made into the quilts.  I love them all.  But fabric is not my thing, paper is... so I decided to combine the two.

For my project today I made a paper quilt block into a Patriotic wall hanging.  I am planning on adding this, plus a few other goodies to a shelf in my kitchen this summer.  I am in love with the "Glory" Collection, the vintage look of the red, white and blue is so my style!  This collection is easy to work with and
the Cardstock Stickers are the perfect finishing touch.

Now onto my project!
I used 2X2 inch squares, so the center panel is 8 X 8.  I then matted it with cardstock and more patterned papers.  The finished size is 12 X 12.

Here's a closer look at the panel

I hope you have a wonderful day and thank so much for stopping by the Authentique blog today!

  2. Absolutely gorgeous Natalie! I love quilting too, but have not tried paper quilting yet! I am definitely going to try this as my love of paper crafting has left me without much time for sewing, besides the fact that my sewing machine is currently not functioning. Thanks for the amazing idea!

  3. Oh thank you for this inspiring paper quilt. Like you, I am a paper person but this quilt idea is wonderful and perfect with this collection. I have the 6x6 pad of this so I will try a mini version. They would make great 4th of July cards.
