Earth Friendly Friday!! getting organized
Happy Friday everyone, Angie Blom here today with an
Earth Friendly Friday Project
if you are anything like me, you love your scrapbooking or art supplies
organized.. I am a strong believer of recycling what you have
in your own home and making it look fabulous for your needs.
have the heart to throw out.. So I am going to use them to create
some storage for my Faber Castell art supplies...
Using the beautiful papers from the Lively collection and these
Tazo Chai tea Metal containers .
I will recycle them to be my new storage organizer for my pitt pens and pencils.
instuctions to make:
you are going to cut for one container.. 1 sheet of patterned paper of your choice. 4x12 and 4x8.
using some strong 450 Quick Dry glue from Helmar , adhere the 4 x 8 piece of cardstock over the
already stuck on label. Then continuing the pattern of the paper add the 4x12 to cover the rest of the container using the glue. honesty this only took 2 minutes to adhere.
then using some of the larger stickers from the Lively sticker collection decorate the front of your
container, I did this by placing the larger stickers on brown cardstock , using some helmar
zapdots to give it a pop out feel. and added some of the smaller stickers to layer on top.
then you are done..
I didn't want these to be too fussy.
I wanted them to be easy enough to just grab without
having anything bulky falling off when I need to use them..
Here are some more detailed photo's of my project.
Hope you give this a try Any strong container will do, and you will be left with a beautiful
storage container for your everyday needs. Would also be a fun and simple project for the kids to
do this summer to hold their crayons and all the markers they have laying around..haha.

ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS Rochelle! WTG!
Awesome project idea - I have a bunch of these sitting around the house because I can't bring myself to throw them away either. I just made two of them for my scrap room, but they'd make cute gift boxes too - teacher gifts or for the Holidays.
