I love the "Curiosity" collection! I just can't get enough of it! When I was trying to think of a project to make for the Basically Bare hop, I KNEW that I wanted to use Curiosity and my small banners from Basically Bare. So I came up with a little toilet paper roll mini album. My daughter starts pre-school next week so I thought this little album would be darling to store those first day of school photos in!
As a teacher I know all too well how short summer is. I also know how exciting this time of year is. I love the smell of school supplies, a clean and shiny classroom, and planning for the start of another amazing year. For those very reasons, I love working with Curiosity.
For my first project, I created a little Congrats card for a lovely co-worker who received a teaching accolade. I really wanted to showcase the fantastic Basically Bare flower against all of the wonderful patterns of the Authentique Paper. I left the leaves plain, stamped the larger petal with yellow chalk ink, and lightly misted the smaller with some grey mist.
My second project uses Basically Bare's mini album. I loved using all of the different textures and materials. I covered the kraft of the owl with Academic, misted the wings and eyes, then used grommets to attach the wings to the body. For the eyes, I drew the pupils and highlights.
Since I don't have a school-ager yet, I just found some fun photos from the past few months before our newest was born. I wanted to make a mini that my little girl could have. I loved adding the Details throughout the album.
I even broke out my stapler with this project. It was fun using school supplies on my crafty endeavors.
Oh there goes that mouse again...
I just loved the whimsy of Basically Bare's clock set and owl.
I used a piece from their flower set to create my little mousie friend.
All of the pieces are covered in papers from Authentique's "Lively" collection.
I fell in love with these mustaches from Basically Bare!
I created a little wall hanging with the cardboard page of Oh So Mini Album. I tore a little off a corner to expose the texture inside the page.
I used lots of Authentique Curiosity, the M is from the "Studious" patterned paper.

ReplyDeleteI was so inspired yesterday that I couldn't wait to stop by for more. Love each of the projects shared today. The tp mini by Emily is fantastic and I love the cohesive flowers and pennants on each page. Heather did a great job capturing those fun pics or her little princess. I adore the cute little mouse on Janeen's project and the dazzling detail on the owl. Those mustaches are great as a focal image for your cute wall hanging Natalie!

The unorthodox amalgamation of the exotic colors blue and yellow are a marvelous and not a mysterious favorite of mine. I have always loved the unconventional application of these colors. The ability of the creativity and flair of the style of workmanship from the virtuoso gives me a powerful afflatus.
ReplyDeleteGreat mini!!
Happy Scrapping
