A Thankful Canvas

Authentique Paper and Canvas Corp are teaming up over the next couple of days to bring you tons of inspiration using Authentique Paper and Canvas Corp products!

After you check out the projects here on the Authentique Paper blog, be sure to head on over to the Canvas Corp blog to find out what the talented members of their Design Team  have in store for you today!

My project today is my first canvas ever!
I can't believe I waited this long!

I started with a 6 X 6 Canvas that I decorated with Authentique Paper's Thankful Collection, Canvas Corps Burlap, and other canvas pieces

I distressed the edges of the canvas  and  layered  a 5 X 5 piece of patterned paper for the background.  Then the fun began!
I then started cutting several leaves from patterned paper, burlap and canvas.
Layered them on using my glue gun.
I added another small canvas for my sentiment.

The flowers were made with some vintage lace that I glued and gathered as I made it into the flower shape. A vintage button finishes them off.

  26. This is gorgeous. Such beautiful fall colors. And I like the extra dimension about adding a small canvas for the sentiment. Did you use a glue gun because the embellishments wouldn't stick to the canvas? I am seeing more and more people use glue guns lately so I am curious.
