This week I bought a new die, needed placecards for the table, and had a handmade holiday blog hop, so the answer was obvious...
Tiny table trees!
These little cuties are made from stacks of "Tattered Snowflakes" created with Sizzix's new Alterations die. I used Helmar's black ZapDots between each snowflake for added height and space between the "branches".
Helmar's 450 Quick Dry is a perfect adhesive to create snow and icicles. It's thick and stringy, so it creates really realistic effects. I dripped the glue up and down the tree then dipped the edges in Diamond Dust. Once it dries it's really sturdy and creates fantastic snow highlights.
The tree trunks are wooden spools covered in twine and tinsel, and a glass bottle of snow flakes. The tags are from the Peaceful sticker embellishments.
Products Used:
"Peaceful" - Authentique Paper
450 Quick Dry and ZapDots - Helmar
Tattered Snowflake Die - Sizzix
Diamond Dust

Hello Authentique fans, Heather here with a couple of ornaments using Helmar and the Festive Collection. For this project, I only used Helmar's Quickfix Adhesive Runner. I wanted to show you that sometimes, you can use dry adhesives in place of wet adhesives like Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
I started with a wooden disc. I used the adhesive runner to make a square on the paper, then cut off the remainder of the paper.
Using a Core'dinations sanding block, I smoothed off the extra edges. Repeat this on the other side if you want a double sided ornament.
To create the decorative hanger of this ornament, I threaded Twinery twine through two buttons, and used the adhesive runner on the inside of the pair of buttons to stick them together.
If you don't have want to have dimensional adhesive show (or add a little sparkle!) use a button to create some dimension. The adhesive sticked wonderfully to both sides of the button.
Then, I added a sticker to the top of it.
I further down the string that is now run through the wooden disc (I used a Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes), I doubled up two of the same stickers.
The finished ornament. Underneath the Jingle Bells sticker is another button. Then a cute bow with May Arts ribbon.
And the reverse side.
And to finish it off, I added two of the same bling and the adhesive runner.
Here's a little extra ornament to put some holiday treats into. The cone is cut with a Silhouette shape, then another wooden disc has a shaped sticker on it, with another as a little To:/From: tag. And some more May Arts seam binding to finish it off.
I cannot wait to gift both of these ornaments.
Products Used:
Authentique Paper: Festive: Glistening and Believe papers, Details 12x12 and Elements 8x12 stickers
Helmar: Helmar's Quickfix Adhesive Runner
Other: buttons, bling, Twinery twine, wooden discs, May Arts ribbon, Silhouette
