IMAGINE the possibilities with "Peaceful"

Merry Christmas Eve Authentique fans! We have a very special guest with us today! If you are still putting the finishing touches on your handmade gifts.... or just starting to make them, make sure you read through this post! Our friend John Peterson from Imagine Crafts shows how he made an awesome explosion box that folds out into an accordion mini album! Now we have seen a few of these on the web, but nothing like this! *Hint Hint* These make great gifts! Check it out! 

I've always been a blue and silver person (think snowflakes) for the Holidays, but the first time that I saw the Peaceful Collection at the Summer CHA Show I knew that I might be changing my palette for the Holidays this year! I thought that the mix of different shades of green, along with using gray instead of the typical red, just called out for a little bit of gold and sparkle!

This is the box cover (top left) that was sprayed with IMAGINE Crafts' Fireworks! craft sprain Bamboo Leaves and Pear Tart to give it a little sparkle and shine.

INSIDE:

Accordion Book (open): sprayed with Fireworks! in Pear Tart and Bamboo leaves, then stamped with Tsukineko Delicata Golden Glitz ink with a variety of snowflake stamps.

Top Page: Inner most layer was over stamped with a snowflake stamp in Tsukineko VersaMagic Niagara Mist. Second layer was stamped with a variety of different snowflake stamps using VersaMagic in Aloe Vera, Niagara Mist and Delicata Golden Glitz.

Right Page: Memory Box Holiday Stamp set stamped with VersaMagic Niagara Mist and Delicata Golden Glitz.

Bottom: IMAGINE Crafts' SHEET Metal (ATC size) colored and stamped with Tsukineko StazOn inks using GlazOn layer protectant between each layer to keep each color separated. Base colors of StazOn Olive and Eden Greens with a touch of Dove Gray. Snowflakes were stamped with StazOn Stone Gray. Text stamped with StazOn Metallic Gold.

LID: Authentique "Freeze" paper is on the top of the box oversprayed with Fireworks! craft sprays in Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves. Snowflakes are stamped with VersaMagic Cloud White and Niagara Mist along the sides.

BASE: Authentique's "Chill" paper has snowflakes overstamped using IMAGINE Craft's GooseBumps texture spray to create a resist effect. Memento Pistachio and Olive Green are then applied directly to the paper, with the excess wiped off with a paper towel misted with IMAGINE Crafts' Ink Potion No. 9 blending solution to reveal the resist snowflakes and the beautiful print from the "Chill" paper below.
