I wanted to show that Helmar can be used for the 'tough to glue' projects, so I made Christmas ornament for the tree - a hot air balloon.

Using a strong, fast drying, liquid adhesive - Helmar 450 Quick Dry - made this easy. When you're gluing around a curve, with a thick textured paper like Authentique, you don't want to have to hold it for ages while it dries!

Some trim and punched elements finished it off.

Secret weapon - toilet paper tube for the 'basket.  Shhhhh - don't tell anyone!

I love this time of the year when I can make hand crafted gifts.  Tags... we all love them and need them to put on gifts.  So, I made this tag gift set...perfect for a little Christmas gift.  What did I use to create this fabulous tag gift set?  Why Authentique and Helmar for course!

Here is what I did and I used the Peaceful and Festive Collections.

I used my Silhouette to cut out the box holding the tags as well as some of the tags.  Hope you liked my project!  Thanks Helmar!

Supplies Used:
Festive Collection: Merry #FES006, Believe #FES003, Yuletide #FES005 and Jolly #FES007
Peaceful Collection: Freeze #PEA001 and Chill #PEA004

Hello! Loes here to show you some christmas cards and what you can do with the zapdots from Helmar.

Peel off the sticky from the top of the zap dots but let them sit on the sheet. Pour some embossing powder on the sheet and use your heat gun. This gives you extra dimension on your cards or lay-outs.

Here can you see the effect of the embossing powder on the dots,
I added letters from the details sticker sheet.
The Merry & bright I also got from the sticker sheet.

You can use the dots also as the center of flowers as well.

I love the dimension that these dots add to my projects!

This week I bought a new die, needed placecards for the table, and had a handmade holiday blog hop, so the answer was obvious...

Tiny table trees!

These little cuties are made from stacks of "Tattered Snowflakes" created with Sizzix's new Alterations die. I used Helmar's black ZapDots between each snowflake for added height and space between the "branches".

Helmar's 450 Quick Dry is a perfect adhesive to create snow and icicles. It's thick and stringy, so it creates really realistic effects. I dripped the glue up and down the tree then dipped the edges in Diamond Dust. Once it dries it's really sturdy and creates fantastic snow highlights.

The tree trunks are wooden spools covered in twine and tinsel, and a glass bottle of snow flakes. The tags are from the Peaceful sticker embellishments.

Products Used:
"Peaceful" - Authentique Paper
450 Quick Dry and ZapDots - Helmar
Tattered Snowflake Die - Sizzix
Diamond Dust

Heather Conklin

Hello Authentique fans, Heather here with a couple of ornaments using Helmar and the Festive Collection. For this project, I only used Helmar's Quickfix Adhesive Runner. I wanted to show you that sometimes, you can use dry adhesives in place of wet adhesives like Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

I started with a wooden disc. I used the adhesive runner to make a square on the paper, then cut off the remainder of the paper.
Using a Core'dinations sanding block, I smoothed off the extra edges. Repeat this on the other side if you want a double sided ornament.
To create the decorative hanger of this ornament, I threaded Twinery twine through two buttons, and used the adhesive runner on the inside of the pair of buttons to stick them together.
If you don't have want to have dimensional adhesive show (or add a little sparkle!) use a button to create some dimension. The adhesive sticked wonderfully to both sides of the button.
Then, I added a sticker to the top of it.
I further down the string that is now run through the wooden disc (I used a Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes), I doubled up two of the same stickers.
The finished ornament. Underneath the Jingle Bells sticker is another button. Then a cute bow with May Arts ribbon.
 And the reverse side.
And to finish it off, I added two of the same bling and the adhesive runner.
Here's a little extra ornament to put some holiday treats into. The cone is cut with a Silhouette shape, then another wooden disc has a shaped sticker on it, with another as a little To:/From: tag. And some more May Arts seam binding to finish it off.
I cannot wait to gift both of these ornaments.
Products Used:
Authentique Paper: Festive: Glistening and Believe papers, Details 12x12 and Elements 8x12 stickers
Helmar:  Helmar's Quickfix Adhesive Runner
Other: buttons, bling, Twinery twine, wooden discs, May Arts ribbon, Silhouette

Finding new and unusual ornaments to make is always fun!
This version of the Tear-Drop Ornament can be made in
various sizes and thicknesses, depending upon the type of
papers you choose to use.  For this ornament, I've taken a
half of a sheet of Authentique's
FESTIVE Jolly & Believe papers.
You could also use an entire 12x12 sheet if both sides of
the patterned paper will work with the look you're wanting.
To start, cut six pieces of 4x6 papers
 (three from each pattern).
Next, score (as shown) so that each paper measures 2x6.
Freehand a shape onto the inside of the folded paper.
You may want to practice on scratch paper beforehand or
use a template.  If you have a Cricut or SVG files, you could
use those to make a template...a snowflake shape would also
be cute!
Trim with scissors and then repeat with the next five pieces

of paper. Alternate patterns and glue together with
Helmar's Quick Dry Adhesive;
allow to dry between each layer.
Once you have glued three of the papers together,
add a loop of baker's twine or ribbon to the center and
glue in place.  This will be the hanger, so adjust length as desired.
For my piece, I glittered the Jolly Paper with an
iridescent glitter; allow to dry.  A red jingle bell was
 attached to the bottom point.
I chose one of the Believe patterns as the front, focal point of the
ornament.  Using a "skip every two dots" approach, I added small
adhesive pearls to several of the dots.  I then trimmed out the edge
in a baker's twine.
To create the layered embellishment, I used several stickers
from the Festive Details 12x12 Stickers and
Helmar's Zapdots to add dimension between the pieces.
Punch a 1.5" circle from one of the patterned papers and then, using
a hole punch, create a smaller hole in the center.  Thread your hanger
through the smaller hole and attach the larger circle to the top of
the ornament with Helmar's Quick Dry Adhesive.

Decorate the top with a ribbon bow and a small embellishment.
You're now ready for hanging or gift-giving.
Personalize and date each one to make a one-of-a-kind
keepsake for your family members and friends!

I had so much fun making this project today!
The Helmar Adhesive Runner made placing the pieces so quick and easy.
I needed them to stay in place so I could sew them down and the Adhesive Runner was perfect for the job.

I used LOTS of LOTS of Festive on this project.  Before adhering each piece of paper I inked the edges with my Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I used the Helmar Quick Dry Adhesive for adhering paper to my chipboard house.
I have found this is my 'go-to' adhesive for chipboard.  Love this stuff!

I will be placing this in black 12 X 12 shadow box frame from Michaels!
it will be the perfect addition to my decorations!
