After much deliberation, we have decided not to hold a design team call right now. We love all of our designers and think they do a fabulous job displaying our products in their amazing projects, so we weren't quite ready to let them go. However, we wanted to add a few fresh-faces to the team, so we hand-picked 4 new design team members! Please help us welcome them to the team!
Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be here at Authentique! I currently live in North Carolina with my two adorable teenage kiddos, a wee hedgehog baby, and our adoptive Golden Retriever pup. I am a web director and social media coordinator for a local landscape design and garden center, as well as a part-time writer and photographer. In my spare time, I love to go antiquing and thrifting, read, and of course, play with paper. I have been papercrafting for about a dozen years now. Love learning, and sharing, and I’m so thrilled to be a part of the Authentique Design Team. http://audreypettit.wordpress.com
I’m a Mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend… and when I’m not busy making memories being all those things I’m crafting and blogging about being all those things. I’ve always been crafty and became a professional crafter about 12 years ago. Any day of the week you can find me in my craft room, designing for several companies, teaching at my local store, teaching online, drawing, painting, creating, and running my card kit business. Being creative is my passion and I’m happy to meet and share with everyone along the way! http://www.deenaziegler.typepad.com/
John’s “addiction” to paper began as a child- the touch and feel of paper, the different patterns and colors, the creativity waiting to happen! Growing up in a household where art and creativity were encouraged, John learned to manipulate the surface of paper with paints, inks and almost any other medium available to make cards, books and other “projects” as his Mom liked to call them. Being an avid journaler, John taught himself the art of bookmaking- from traditional Japanese binding techniques to altered books and everything in between. John has been an educator in the paper arts and crafts industry for over 15 years, passionately sharing his tips and techniques in a variety of classes including card and bookmaking, photography, calligraphy and beading. http://www.artnewwave.com
My name is Karla but I'm better known as Kay--a nickname I received in college & it simply stuck. I've loved arts/crafts my whole life. I've been drawing since the time I picked up my first crayon. However, it wasn't until 2007 that I discovered scrapbooking & haven't looked back since. Scrapbooking provides a means for me to release my artsy side & to document my life in order to pass down to future generations. Along the way, I also discovered the art of stamping--I tend to stamp my own backgrounds & create my own designs. I also enjoy doing the occasional altered art. I've altered wooden frames, wooden boxes, mini albums & have done a couple of canvases.I reside in Northern NJ just 30 minutes away from New York City. I'm also fluent in both English & Spanish. By day, I'm a senior level Quality Analyst working for a Fortune 100 global company--I do most of my crafting late at night. I'm also a certified Zumba instructor--you can find me at the gym almost every evening shaking the night away! I'm married to a great guy that puts up with & supports my scrapbook & crafting addiction! I have one son & a small fur-baby by the name of Toby--both my boys are my little rays of sunshine.I am grateful for the opportunity to design for such a fantastic company. I'm looking forward to working with Authentique & to hopefully provide innovative inspiration to some of you along this new creative journey! http://www.kayskreativekorner.blogspot.com
