"Grace" Mini album with Petite Folders

Good morning my fellow Authentique fans.  Guiseppa here to share with you an idea of what you can make with the Petite Folders!  Today I am using the new Grace Collection.  This collection is a all about Mother's. I love it because it is perfect for creating those one of a kind handmade Mother's Day gifts and that is exactly what I did.

I created this entire mini album...using all Petite Folders from the Grace Collection.

These folders are just perfect for a mini album and what better thing to create with them than a mini album, especially for Mother's Day.  I made this album to give to my Mother.  You will notice that there are no pictures in this album.  It is because I am going to have a little photo shoot with my Mom.  It has been a while since we have had pictures of us taken together and I want everything about this album to be fresh and new.  So, now let's dig into the details of this mini album.

First off, I want to share with you this fun binding I did on this album.  I have to admit this, but I saw this binding done on another album on a website and I wanted to try it.  I planned on doing a tutorial on how to do this, but even with step by step pictures...it would have been so hard to explain.  I even had my hubby helping me with the binding because he could see how it should all come together.  He is a smarty pants and I constantly tell him he should scrap with me more often :)  There are a few ways you can put all of your folders together.  You can use brads, ribbon, large jump rings or even create a binding using tape or washi tape.  The list goes on and on.  Get creative and have fun with it!

There are so many fun elements that come with the Grace Collection.  Let's talk about what I did on my pages.  So that I didn't dig into my 12x12 patterned papers, I used a lot of the papers from the 8x8 Bundle...perfect for mini albums and cards.  On these two pages, I used Foundations paper to create a place for journaling and the Paper Accents that have fun embellishing elements for that added special touch.

On this page, I have more of the Foundations paper, but look off to the right...look at those fabulous puzzle pieces.  What fun way to add embellishing.

On these pages I used more Paper Accents for embellishing, plus look...a fun way to add more pictures to one page.

Have fun and get creative with all of the fun paper embellishments that are in this collection.

As you can tell on some of the pages of this mini album, I created title pages, pages with sayings, places with journaling and spots for pictures.  There are so many ways you can use all of the gorgeous elements this collection offers.

Get creative and layer.  Dimension adds so much to your albums and gives the person enjoying the album, so much to look at.  Don't worry about the chunkiness of the album.  It's so fun when it's chalk fun of scrappy goodness:)

What I love about Authentique's papers is they work so well with the Silhouette.  I used mine to create some added elements.  I cut this frame and bow out using my Silhouette.  What a fun touch huh?

I love working with flowers.  The Grace Collection looks so good with some flowery gorgeousness.  Don't be afraid to all embellishments like this. They add so much to the album.

I hope I have inspired you today to go an create something wonderful using the Petite Folders.  The are such a fun element that inspires creativity for any project.
