Hoping For A Happy Easter!

Hello! Shellye bringing you a sweet flower-shaped chipboard mini album featuring the cutest Easter/Spring Collection: Hope.  I've also used a cool wavy template by Kiwi Lane to create the banner across the front of the album
I found this four page chipboard album at Michael's craft store in the $1 bin...you can't beat that!  After tracing the shape onto the desired Hope paper and trimming out, I used a jar lid to make a circle mat for the center of each page.
Layer on cardstock stickers with various dimensions of foam dots...I like to create different 'levels' and using different thicknesses helps to achieve that nice layered look.  To the album ring, I added a large velvet bow from May Art's ribbon.
Below I've added close-up photos of each individual page.  Grab-up fun embellishments like buttons, twine, paper flowers and pearls and let Authentique's paper and stickers do the rest!

Another thing that I like to do with my mini albums (especially chipboard ones) is to glue an edging of baker's twine to hide any uneven spots of the paper, as well as the unfinished chipboard.

  34. Gorgeous! I love the papers that you used...so fun. The thing that really stood out for me was the stitching that you did. I've noticed stitching on other projects but this really stood out for me as to how beautiful and complete it made the whole project. I am encouraged to pick up a sewing machine and start stitching my cards and minis. Any suggestions on an inexpensive machine?

    1. Thank you, Marianne! I use the Brother Project Runway version...purchased it from Wal-Mart for just a little over $100 about four years ago! Haven't had a bit of trouble with it and I don't even think I've changed the needle out LOL And trust me, I use my sewing machine almost every single day :)
