Hi everyone, Angie Blom here with a fun FRAME project using
Glitter Dust spray and Micro Glass Beads.
I just love how I can fly by the seat of my pants and I can create
something out of the blue. If you know me well... this happens alot..haha
No different for this fun layered
"My Best Friend"
frame for my Mom for this coming Mother's Day.
With fun details that just pop right off the frame..
all made with this beautiful must have collection of papers "Grace".
I started by using a wooden frame from Michael's craft store.. then proceeded to pencil
the shape of the frame and cut it.. adding 2, 1 1/5 and 1 inch strips of decorative papers, that
I punched using some border punches. each layer is using these amazing Therm - o - web foam
squares, in both the 1/4 and 1/2 inch size. and they are very sticky so it will hold on my project very well. I wanted to achieve a 3-D look so you can touch the dimension of this project.
I then took my project outdoors and sprayed some Glitter Gold dust all over it.. it almost
transformed the paper to look like fabric. it is delightfully glimmery and appealing without it
looking like a thick layer of spray. I just love this look.. you might not notice it in these photo's
that is how subtle of a look you will get. so your paper designs still shine through. LOVE that!!
The flowers I made Using some fun punches from McGill it transformed the "poised" paper
into the loveliest embellishment ever.. using punches for the leaves and sprigs.. then adding the
individual "zots" singles to adhere them together.. and some foam dots to give the flower the
same height as the rest of the frame , so it is not tilting in any way. I then finished it off with
some May arts ribbon and string and some pearls from Want2scrap .
I love how a less than $2.00 frame looks amazing with these papers.
I know my Mom is going to love this for Mother's Day.

thank you for coming by to see me today.
I love using my Authentique paper for all kinds of projects. Since there are some important holidays coming up, I created a couple of gift bags with matching tags using the Strong and Grace Collections and some fantastic Therm O Web products.
For the Mother's Day bag, I used the Grace Collection. The base of the bag is Sweetness paper glued down with a Therm O Web Sticky Dot Runner. I used an edge punch to create the contrasting tones from the Beauty paper. Then I added a large banner with Beauty and Heart paper. To add more dimension, I used the 3D White Foam Squares underneath the banner.
I then cut apart a Want2Scrap Swirls White Pearl embellishment, and layered one of the sentiments from the Foundations Cut Apart paper that I had used Therm O Web's Iridescent Glitter Dust on. Since I cut the pearls in half and moved them into a different placement than they originally were in, I was able to arrange them both above and below the sentiment.
To finish off the gift packaging, I created a matching tag. I used an stationary tag that I got a my local office store as the base. I removed the original string, and covered it in one of the solids from the 8x8 pad. Added a stripe of Beauty, then used some more of the 3D White Foam Squares to add some more dimension. Then sprayed the whole thing with some more of the Iridescent Glitter Dust before adding another little sentiment from the Paper Crafting Assortment. Lastly, I replaced the string with some wonderful crocheted May Arts ribbon.
For the Father's Day bag, I chose the Strong Collection. The colors are perfect for more masculine projects. I liked the banner idea from the first bag, but wanted to make them a little more masculine, so did not bend the corners at all. I covered the bag with a piece of the Handsome paper.
To be honest, the paper was just a little bit short from another project, so I decided to pull out my Kiwi Lane Templates in Scallops and create a valance to hide that fact, and to hide the tops of the Mighty banners as well. I used the 3D White Foam Squares to add dimension to the banners, the valance and the sentiment cut from the Foundations Cut Apart paper.
I created the matching tag using another office tag. I covered it in Enduring and Clever and used two of the Stamp Blocks die cuts for my sentiments. Before gluing everything down using a Therm O Web Sticky Dot Runner, I inked all of my pieces using ImagineCrafts Memento Ink in Nautical Blue. Lastly, I tied off my tag using another May Arts ribbon.
I really love how easy these projects really are, and how much my lovely parents are going to enjoy them on their respective holidays.
