"Glistening" Stocking Ornaments

Hi everyone, Audrey here, sharing a fun Christmas project idea today made with the beautiful new Glistening collection.

I love giving gifts that do double-duty at holiday time, and these sweet little stockings do just that. Not only were they designed to perfectly fit gift cards, they can also hold any number of small "stocking stuffers" or sweet treats, like my candy canes. Better yet, once the gift has been removed, these make wonderful ornaments that can be enjoyed throughout the holiday season.

And added bonus? They are quick and easy to make for everyone on your gift giving list!

Here's how:

Begin by die cutting the stocking and trim pieces from a variety of Glistening patterned papers. Edge all the paper pieces lightly with brown ink.

Adhere the toe and heel die cuts to the stocking front, and machine stitch, if desired. Affix lace trim to the bottom of the stocking cuff die cut, and then assemble the pieces to create a finished stocking pocket.

Tie seam binding and hemp around the top of the stocking. Assemble the rosette from the stocking die and add a button to the top. Add a button to a Glistening die cut sentiment label.

Adhere a die cut felt snowflake and the finished rosette to the center of the cuff. Tuck the sentiment label into the side. Add a wire hanger, and you are finished.
