Life is an "Adventure"

Living in the Pacific Northwest, the outdoors is only 20 minutes or so away for heading out into the wilderness and enjoying nature.  That's why I was so excited when the "Adventure" paper collection was released by Authentique Paper – now I have the perfect paper for capturing all of my trips into the woods whether for a day hike or camping.

I'm here to share with you the mini album that I created using the "Adventure" line of paper.  This is a trip we took with some great friends to the Quinault Rainforest earlier in the year.  The background features the Scenic paper, layered with a die cut piece of Rustic paper.  The base layer of the bezel uses the other side of the Scenic paper featuring a deep, rich wood grain.  I separated one of the die cut stickers from the Details sheet to layer beneath the bezel and the inner compass piece inside of the bezel.  The bezel is embellished with a piece of May Arts Ribbon.
The background of the first two pages features the wood grain Scenic paper which features this awesome graphic of the deer in a frame, which was absolutely perfect for the image of the fireplace and mantel found inside of the lodge we stayed in.  I used some of the stickers from the Details sheet to embellish the page, and spelt out the name of the lodge using the coordinating Petite Type letters.  I layered the picture with Rustic paper, and die cut a small piece of the opposite side of Rustic to frame the smashed penny souvenir from the lodge.
The background of the next pages uses the Nomad paper, which I thought would add a fun pattern to the book.  The images are layered with the solid Explore and Nomad papers, with a few stickers from the Enhancements sheet.
Some pictures from our hike are featured with the Explore paper as a background.  I used both sides of the Wildflower paper to layer the images, and embellishments from the Details sheet.
The Wildflower paper was used for these two pages, which adds some fun color to the pages.  I layered the images with the Rustic and solid Nomad papers and added embellishments from the Details and Enhancements paper sheets.
For the back cover of the book, I used the patterned Enhancements paper for the background and then added the die cut sentiment from the other side of the Enhancements paper.

I hope that this has given you some inspiration to create your own mini album of your next Adventure out in the woods!
