To create this "Radiant" mini album using our NEW Authentic life cards...
Cut a piece of cardstock 11 x 4 5/8 inches.
Make score lines at 1 1/4, 1 1/2 , 2 , 2 1/2 , 2 3/4, 3 1/4,
3 3/4 , 4 , 4 1/2, 5, 5 1/4, 5 3/4, 6 1/4, 6 1/2, 7,
7 1/2 , 7 3/4, 8 1/4 , 8 3/4, 9 inches
Fold along the lines.
Place 1/4 inch scor tape on the fold lines.
Place 1/2 inch scor tape beside the folds as shown above. Remove the backing from the 1/2 inch tape and fold the cardboard.
Your mini album will begin to look like this.
When you finished you have 6 little hinges, and you see the 1/4 inch tape on the back side.
Reove the backing of the 1/4 inch tape and stand the folds up as shown below.
This is the binding for your mini album.
Cut pieces of chipboard- you will need two 4 x 5 inch pieces and one 2 x 5 inch piece.
Take a piece of 12 x 12 paper and cut to 12 x 7 inches.
Adhere the chipboard to the paper. Leave 3/16" space in between as shown above.
Cut the corners diagonal and fold them around the chipboard.
Cut a piece of patterned paper for the inside cover 10 x 4.5 inches. You must use liquid glue for this piece, because the paper has to adhere to the inside of the little spaces you left between the chipboard parts.
Glue the binding in your back of the mini album. I used scor tape because it is very strong and durable.
Make two envelopes in the size 3 1/2 x 4 5/8 inch and cut a little slit out of the bottom.
Cut 4 pieces of 6 1/4 x 4 3/4 for the pages and make a score lines at 3 7/8".
Cut 4 pieces of 5 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch and make score lines on 1/4 inch on the tip and bottom.
Adhere them on the biggest part of the pages.
You have two envelopes and 4 pages.
Lay them on, one page, one envelope, 2 pages, 1 envelope , one page.
Put the open sizes of your envelopes and pages over the hinges, use glue here.
The mini is ready and you can decorate them as you like, I used the details stickers and the components and a little lace here and there.
On every pages of this mini is an Authentic life card. These are great for sentiments as well as decorative journaling spots.
As you can see, the other open side is a little pocket and you can put life cards in there as well.
In the envelope, I put two life cards.
Thanks for joining me today!

ReplyDeleteBeing imaginative is something most kids truly appreciate. It's simple for guardians to direct play with this toy as there's so many incredible things you can do with it. You can assemble basic shapes or make more intricate characters. You can construct dolls and 3D figures with the help of play doh. It's not difficult to get the impacts you need with such a flexible material.

ReplyDeleteI appreciate the tutorial. I had the same idea that these life cards would make a fantastic mini, but not in the same way that you did! A fantastic little record. My preferred creative endeavour. Such lovely papers may be found at Authentique.
