Hello Authentique Fans, Heather here with a fun way to use up some of your wired ribbon scraps and the Harmony Collection by Authentique.
To create this beautiful Fall Wreath, I started with a few pieces of wired ribbon (2.5 Inch Solid / Wired Ribbon [Ivory]) about 12" each. I handcut scallops on one side of each piece of the ribbon. To make a more uniformed scallop, I used my Kiwi Lane Scallops Border Templates.
Once the scallops were cut, I pulled on the wire from both sides and scrunched the ribbon towards the center.
When this was complete, I spiraled the ribbon and liquid glued it onto a scrap piece of paper.
To create a center for each of the ribbon "flowers", I grabbed my Epiphany Crafts' Shape Studio Round 25 tool and used an epoxy circle and papers from the 6x6 Harmony Collection Bundle. I then glued those to the flowers.

The blue flower was cut from a piece of Growth 12x12 Paper using the 3D Peony from the Silhouette Online Store. Before securing each section with a brad from my stash, I inked every section with one of my absolute favorite inks: Espresso Truffle Memento Dye Ink.
Once all of the flowers were secured to the wreath, I started on the banner. I cut each of the banner pieces using the Build a Banner Set and papers from the 6x6 Bundle in Creation, Awakening, Abundance, Vitality. I only used the notched banner piece, cutting the sentiment directly onto each banner. For this sentiment, I used the Tall Dark & Handsome Font with my Silhouette. Once it was cut, I inked each piece with Espresso Truffle Memento Dye Ink.
To create some contrast, I made sure to cut a slightly smaller set to go behind the sentiment in a darker color (Abundance). Once those were cut, I used my Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker to make sure that the banner didn't fall apart.
Then I liquid glued each piece to the 1/4 inch Twill Ribbon w/ Chevron Stripes (Black) and tied that onto the wreath.
Lastly, I loosely wrapped another small piece of ribbon in 1.5 Inch Faux Burlap / Wired Ribbon (Natural) to the top of the wreath and liquid glued it together. To make it hang on my door, I used a little piece of wire and wired it through the burlap ribbon.
Supplies:
Authentique Harmony Collection: Abundance & Awakening 12x12 Papers, 6x6 Bundle
May Arts Ribbons: 1.5 Inch Faux Burlap / Wired Ribbon (Natural), 1/4 inch Twill Ribbon w/ Chevron Stripes (Black), & 2.5 Inch Solid / Wired Ribbon (Ivory)
ImagineCrafts Ink: Espresso Truffle Memento Dye Ink
Additional Supplies: wreath, brad, Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker, liquid glue, wire, Epiphany Craft's Shape Studio Round 25 tool and epoxy stickers, Kiwi Lane Designer Templates (Scallops)

So pretty! I love the way you secured the flowers with the brads. I am a Senior Caregiver and this would make a lovely gift for my 95-year old client!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous, eye-catching wreath with the lovely blooms and "FALL" banner. Bring aboard different seasons of Authentique papers and May Arts ribbons would make this a year-round home decor piece. Oh, the possibilities (imagine this with Halloween images...Christmas...Valentine's Day...). Thanks for inspiring!
