Fun and "Spirited" Halloween Projects!

I'm loving Authentique's new Spirited Collection. I only had a few photos of last year's trick-or-treating, and the beautiful colors of this line went perfectly with the girl's bright jackets we needed for the rain that fell on our Trick-or-Treat outing.

For this layout, I started with three Instagram photos that I had collaged and printed, so they would be just smaller than 4x4". This way, I could make sure that the great purple stars from the Ominous paper would show. To further the use of the purple, I matted the Ominous paper with some of the purple Foundations Two cardstock. I then added a title I created with my Silhouette, using the Suspicious and Foundations Two papers. Offsetting the title meant that I could layer the two papers and add more interest.  

I placed the photo mat slighter higher than center, so that the larger Components die cut would fit on the layout without looking squished. I used some wider dimensional foam that I made with craft foam sheets, and popped it up from the other die cuts.

I added a few Details and Petite Diction stickers here and there to add some last little bits of fun. Lastly, I added some Black Diamond Stickles to the large spiders of the Tangled paper and let those dry. Glitter glue makes everything more fun!

I also wanted to share a couple of fun and easy cards using the Spirited Collection. Each of these cards uses just a couple of great Authentique products: the Card Making Stack, Circles & Scallops Die Cuts, and the Stamp Blocks.

For each card, I started with the card base, and just added the die cuts with dabs of glue or foam adhesive. Add a ribbon, and you're done! I love how easy cards can be by using Authentique's Card Making Stack.

One more tip: if you want a ribbon to wrap around a card front, you can cut a small, thin notch that is just thick enough for the ribbon, on the fold of the card.
