Hello fellow Authentique fans!  Kay here with my Petaloo & Authentique project.  I decided to go to my favorite type of craft which is a good ol' fashioned layout.  I enjoy cards, mini albums & altered projects--but my passion still resides with layouts.

For this layout I combined papers from both the 'Believe' & 'Faith' collections.  I also used an assorted amount of Petaloo flowers & trim.

This is my son last Christmas--I loved his little backwards glance in this photo & decided to 'fussy cut' him out of the picture.

I adorned my paper Christmas tree with red Petaloo trim.  The tree is based on the 'folded half circle Christmas tree pattern'.  I found a sample of this pattern on Pinterest.  It's a quick & easy way to create a Christmas tree & it works especially well with double sided paper.  The best part is that it works with any circle size.  Just cut out a circle--cut the circle in half and fold.  The folds do not have to be exact or perfect...based on how you fold the paper you can end up with a thinner or wider tree.

Here's my flower cluster full of Petaloo flowers.  Most of them are from the 'Darjeeling' collection.

This little holly spray is also by Petaloo--I especially loved the burlap string tying the spray together.

For my journaling I created a pocket right onto my layout.  I cut two slits in a 'T' shape that's wide enough to slide in a tag & voila! Instant hidden journaling!

The design of my page is based on a sketch by Page Drafts.  I thought this sketch to be so different & unique & had to give it a go in trying it out.

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rest of the week!
