Thanksgiving is one of those holidays where pictures are taken--but are never really scrapped or put into albums. At least, that's the case for me. So this year I decided to make a simple project for storing Thanksgiving photos & keepsakes. Lately I've become quite good at scouring Pinterest, YouTube & the Internet for mini album, flip book, brag book etc...tutorials. There are countless ones out there & for this mini Thanksgiving flip book I opted for a tutorial I found on YouTube.
This flip book is made with three envelopes. The envelopes can be in any size resulting in a different sized mini album depending on which envelope you use. For my flip book I used black envelopes size #10. This gave me a 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" mini book.
Since the flip book is made out of envelopes, there's a pocket on top of each page giving you ta total of six pull out photo mats.
I included several sticker elements from the 'Grateful' collection & mini tags that can be used for journaling or for storing smaller photos.
There are several little tags like the ones shown here stored all throughout the mini. These tags are really cute & convenient for storing dates, notes, mini photos or any other miscellaneous little items.
The flip book is held together by a slip off belly band. Just slip the belly band off to open the mini & to close it slip the belly band right back on. I didn't make the belly band tight & left some wiggle room so that when photos are added & the mini gets a bit thicker, the belly band will still fit over it.
For those of you that love the visuals--here's a brief video showcasing this flip book.
You can find the tutorial I used for this mini here. Thanks for stopping by & for those of you in the USA--have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
