A 'Cozy' Winter Layout

Happy 2015 everybody!  I'm sure we're all thinking the same thing--where did 2014 go?  It just seemed to fly by which is how time has been feeling ever since I turned 21.  :-)

I started off 2015 on an iffy note since I had cars run into me twice already--once from the front & once from the back & the kicker is that I was standing still both times!  These events also happened on different days.  Luckily I got tapped both times fairly soft & all I have to replace is a scratched bumper.  Then yesterday I locked myself out of my own car!  What is going on I say!?  So my husband had to come get me with the spare key he keeps of my car.  Hmmmm...seems like the jinx is related somewhat to my car--maybe it needs a good wash--both inside & out in order to scare away the bad mojo...either way, let's hope that these events are not an indication of how the rest of the year will go.

Today I bring a layout I created with Authentique's 'Cozy' collection.  This collection is one of my faves due to the kraft color mixed in with soft hues of blue & red.  For this page I decided to accentuate the red & made most of my embellishments 'pop' in a bright red color.

The photo is of my son & one of my fave photos taken of him for Christmas.  The design of my page is based on a sketch by The Nifty Pixel.

I love dimension on my pages--so I always pop up my embellishments with the use of pop dots, also known as foam dots.  These give the embellishments a subtle 3D effect.
