The new Playful collection is perfect for documenting all those happy moments spent outdoors this spring and summer with friends and family. So wonderful for scrapbooking photos of the kids playing outside, trips to the park and playground, and even your upcoming travel adventures. But well beyond just scrapbook layouts, Playful is also a great line for card making, too. Today we have several quick and easy card designs to share with you, focusing on the new Playful line of papers, stickers, and die cuts.
One of the great things about the Playful collection is that the paper prints and colors work equally well for both boy and girl designs. One this first card, I've combined lots of colors and patterns to create a fun, layered design that would work for any occasion.
The background has been pieced from several prints from the 6x6 Bundle. I wrapped the front in twine and added a pair of die cut leaves centered in a Polaroid-style frame. Staples add a bit of a rustic touch, while a few sequins bring in a touch of glam.
The card is finished with greeting sentiments made up of Diction and tiny alpha stickers.
The second card focuses on one of the fabulous sentiment quotes from the Playful die cut sheet. Layering die cuts, like seen here with this title, with a few pop dots in between, is a great way to call extra attention to your main focal point.
And isn't this patterned paper amazing? And made even more special with the addition of some simple machine stitching between the lines on the paper. Such a subtle, yet effective, way of highlighting the designs of a patterned print.
My final card today is a super playful one, with a great motivational message, thanks to the cool Enhancements Cut Apart paper journaling cards.
Framing the journaling card are punched paper clouds, made from solid paper from the 6x6 bundle. And dressing up the center of the clouds are small circular die cuts from the Components sheet. Quick, easy, and super fun.
I hope we've given you a few "playful" card making ideas today! Enjoy!
