A 'Devoted' File Folder Mini Album

Today's project is one that I thoroughly enjoyed making.  I've used the wonderful pet themed collection by Authentique 'Devoted'.  I can't express enough how much I love this collection.  It's absolutely perfect to document memories of your fur-baby.  Those of you who have pets will know exactly what I'm referring to.  I myself have a dog by the name of Toby.  He's the first pet I've ever had that was mine & the first dog that our family has owned.  Needless to say, I have many, many pictures of him.  So with this collection, I finally decided to make an album in order to store a few of these photos.

In searching online, I found a wonderful tutorial by 'Just A Few Designs' that creates a mini out of one file folder.  Recently I had purchased a whole box of kraft colored file folders with the intent of making mini albums--I just didn't know which style of mini album I was going to use for my first try.  Well, this tutorial solved that problem.

I left the cover as is--I felt that the paper had sufficient images & designs on them to make for a lovely cover.

I used this tutorial as a guide to my mini.  I had to alter my measurements based on the file folders I purchased since they were a different size from the ones used in the tutorial.  I also added my own twist to the inside of the mini plus a few extra flaps.

This mini doesn't seem like much when closed--but when you open it & start going through all the pockets & unfolding all the flaps you realize that there are many places to store photos of all sizes as well as journaling.

Here's a video I put together showcasing this album.  Please go easy on me, it's my very first video where I talk through it instead of just play music.  In my opinion, I think I rambled & babbled way too much.  I'm hoping that I'll get better at this with practice!

You can find the tutorial I used for this mini here.

Enjoy!
