Authentique & Petaloo are a Hoot!

One of my favorite things to do to make a project come to life is to add flowers. Petaloo makes the most beautiful flowers, and they pair so beautifully with Authentique papers.

For this project, I covered the Owl Trio from the Wood Connection with papers from the Nestled Collection. I wanted to create a cute family of little owls.

I loved switching up both the papers and the flowers to make each of them unique, while still allowing for the set to be displayed together.

Once each of the owls was covered, I sanded then inked the edges. When the glue was dry, I added the Petaloo flowers. My favorites are the Botanica Mixed Texture Mini Blossoms from the Botanica Collection. I just adore the little rosettes. 

For the eyes, I used three markers (gold, black and a white gel pen). I was careful to place the white dots in the same area for added highlights.

Flowers: Petaloo Sugared Blooms in Mocha, Petaloo Botanica Mixed Texture Mini Blossoms, Petaloo Chantilly Velvet Hydrangeas

Additional Supplies: Wood Connection wooden owls, liquid glue, gold marker, black marker, white gel pen
