Fall Gift Box with Nestled & Petaloo

This sweet altered gift box is a quick and easy project, and is perfect for Petaloo flowers. I love how lifelike and dimensional their flowers are, and the great thing about an altered project like this is you can build up the flowers as high as you wish. And it makes even a simple project look like a million bucks.

To begin, measure the top of your box, and cut a variety of Nestled patterned papers to fit. I started with the blue and white stripe, and then cut two smaller pieces to create sort of a "belly band" appearance across the middle. Then I wrapped the widest lace from Petaloo's Cream Crochet Lace Trim set around the entire box, tying in a knot at the top.

I topped the knot with a large label, die cut from Nestled paper. By doubling up some foam adhesive on the back of the label, I was able to secure the piece even over the bumpy knot. Then I added a quick tag and a variety of beautiful Petaloo flowers and berries.

A pretty fall card turns this box into a beautiful matching set. So perfect for an autumn birthday, or any other special occasion.
