Layered Masculine "Nestled" Layout

The Nestled paper collection from Authentique Paper is so versatile and can be used a variety of different ways! I know that the Design Team went crazy for this line of paper when it was first released, but I think that they were more excited about the squirrels and foxes that are featured on some of the papers and the embellishments. For myself, I was more excited about the earth tones and more masculine prints found in this collection like the wood grains, rulers and the like. I decided to make a fun, layered layout using this collection that I'm here to share with you today!

For this layout, the 'Wise" woodgrain paper was used for the background. Fussy cut parts of the rulers from the 'Comfortable' paper and layer onto the right side of the page.
To add some color and dimension to the background, I created my own custom colors of Creative Medium from Imagine Crafts. I used the 'Chevron' patterned stencil from The Crafter's Workshop to replicate the same pattern from the 'Wise' layering piece that I wold be using in the layout.
I repeated the chevron stenciling in different colors on the left side of the layout as well. Next I fussy cut the 'Wise' chevron pattern and added this as a layering piece. Ribbon from C'est Jolie was wrapped around the arrow 'Targeted' layering piece, which was topped with a banner piece that was cut from the 'Comfortable' paper.
To create some of my own embellishments that I used with this layout, I fussy cut the log end pieces from the 'Observant' paper to add them randomly to the layout. The frame beneath the picture was created from the blue wood grain 'Targeted' paper.
To finish the layout, I added different embellishments from the 'Details' 12x12 cardstock sticker sheet, along with a little more fussy cutting of my own embellishments.
I hope that this layout has given you some great inspiration for creating your own layout using the Nestled paper collection! We'd love to see what you've created with Nestled – be sure to share them with us on the Authentique Facebook page!
