Homestead Country Market with Petaloo

Authentique Paper and Petal are teaming up over the next week to bring you some amazing inspiration featuring our newest collections along with Petal Products!

After you check out the projects here on the Authentique Paper blog, be sure to head on over to the Petaloo blog to find out what the talented members of their Design Team have in store for you today!

This Homestead collection may quite possibly be my favorite collection of all time.  I just love the farmhouse look with all those gingham prints, roosters, chicken wire, old recipes and flowers, I mean seriously, this collection has it all.  For my projects today, I just had to create a country marketplace along with a vintage wheelbarrow, filled to the rim with my favorite flowers from Petaloo that match perfectly.

The marketplace house / country store is actually a collection that was dowloaded from SVG Cuts, then assembled and adorned with pattern papers from the Homestead collection.

The Darjeeling flowers from Petaloo create a sweet pathway on the large front porch and when grouped together, they are just perfect.

I accompanying stickers make a sweet store title, and once again I added the flowers up on the top, along with a little rusty star.

The windows are lined with vellum and more flowers are added under the patriotic banner.

To get the most out of this project, I added a string of mini battery powered LED lights to the inside to bring the country market to life.

In addition to the 3D house and market, I also created a vintage wheelbarrow, from the same collection of SVG Cuts files, and assembled it.  I then adhered a styrofoam ball to the barrow and hot glued a bunch of Petaloo flowers, from the Darjeeling and Textured Elements line, to cover the ball.

The colors of these blooms are so perfect with the Homestead collection and I just love all the textures.

Adhere a sticker to the front along with a little rusty star for a truly rustic, vintage look.

Your wheelbarrow is ready to roll out to the garden.

I am so in love with this Homestead collection, Authentique Papers have truly knocked this collection out of the park, and I hope I've inspired you to create these projects for yourself.

  6. Oh my gosh! The very second I saw this collection it took me back to times when I would visit my grandparents in Kansas on their farm. My favorite thing was walking in my grandmas garden I can still smell the mint leaves and snapdragons. So when I clicked to see the whole line of papers and you have chickens and grassland cows it brought tears to my eyes. The blue floral looks just like the wallpaper in her spare bedroom and the red polkadots and yellow gingham reminds me of summer dresses she made me. Thank you so much for this amazing collection. And for making me think of my beautiful grandmother!
