DIY Teacher Kleenex Boxes

Good morning! As a parent of school-aged children, I have had the list of supplies to grab at the stores for weeks. One of the most popular items on the list are boxes of tissue. Unfortunately, the boxes tend to be on the overly bright and garish side, which make them perfect for covering in beautiful papers instead.
I started with a Silhouette tissue box shape, but altered it slightly to fit the boxes that I had purchased. There are many variations of different tutorials that you could also use online to create something similar.

My littlest will be with one of our favorite teachers this year. Her theme for her classroom is ladybugs, so the ladybug pattern on Cheerful Seven is a perfect addition to the base of Cheerful Four.
I couldn't resist creating a little tag with some scraps of both Micro Basics and Spectrum papers to add as a tag. The little tag is a perfect extra touch for this project.
Since my oldest has a new teacher, I chose to create the second tissue box using the Spectrum Series and Micro Basics papers in the school colors. The Spectrum Series is fantastic, as there are so many perfect variations in colors, you could definitely find matches for your school.
Adding some letter stickers to personalize these with each teacher's name would be a fantastic way to add more detail and personalize this project.
The best thing about a project like this, is it will slip off and fit onto the next box when this one has been used. If you choose a standard sized box, your teacher could use this the entire school year!

I hope that this gives you a few ideas to help celebrate the new school year with the teachers in your life! We will spend the rest of the week celebrating the new school year!
