A 'Bountiful' Mini Album
For today's project I have yet another mini album. I've just been on a total mini album kick lately. This mini has no rhythm or reason. It's filled with a slew of miscellaneous pages that is meant to store several photos, memorabilia & journaling. I've used the fabulous 'Bountiful' collection for an Autumn themed mini.
The album measures 8 3/4" x 7" inches & has several pages & inserts. I kept the binding simple & resorted back to good old fashioned book rings. What I like best about book rings is the fact that you can tie ribbon, twine & other fibers & knick knacks to the rings to further decorate your mini.
I used practically all of the cut aparts from this collection to make pockets & or inserts. From my own stash, I've used large manila tags to tuck into the several pockets that the mini has. I've stamped Autumn themed images onto each of the tags in order to further decorate them.
The pocket shown here is actually an accordion pocket--which means that it can expand to hold several items.
I wanted a mini that explored different styles & techniques. This is what drove the design behind this one particular project. I still had several designs I wanted to add, but the mini was simply getting too large. I started out with 1" inch book rings & ended up using 1 1/2" inch book rings instead to hold it all together!
As already mentioned, I didn't really stick to one page design. I have several page designs in play. Tuck spots, pockets, fold outs, belly bands...these are just a few of the techniques this mini uses to hold or display photo mats or to provide room for journaling.
