Recently, our family went on a family trip to Southern California and Disneyland. I love using traveler's notebooks to keep track of all of the fun details, and like to include all of the images that otherwise might not get recorded. Like this fun image of beautiful macarons.
The greatest thing about traveler's notebooks are the smaller layout of each page. With only about 4x8" for each page, you can only include so much. The photos also seem just a big bigger than they are as well. This is perfect when you only have a little bit of your favorite collection left. For this image, Infused was the most perfect choice. I loved how well the image and the collection went together.
For the next few pages, I grabbed out last summer's hit collection, Pastime. The Disney sentiments went perfectly with the images that I grabbed from our vacation.
I loved including all of the ticket images, the cute stickers, and adding the Petite Diction as I went.
I wanted to tie the two pages and images together, so used some scraps to create an "M" that spans across both pages. This was simply cut using straight lines. No fancy die cutter on this one!
Even though we took a plane, I couldn't resist this little camper sticker.
Being able to personalize my stickers was just the best.
For the last little layout, I broke out our newest collection: Meadow. I really loved pairing the wonderful dark wood of Meadow Three with the backside of Meadow Three.
Adding a few paper strips behind the sentiment from Meadow Eight was also a nice way to make a connection from page to page.
Personalizing the stickers and paper with a white gel pen is another way to make your projects stand out.
It just adds a little extra something to your project.
I hope this inspires you to break out your traveler's notebooks for your next journey somewhere. Take a few notes, add a few more photos than you may, and collect those memories.
