A 'Solitude' Mini Album

Happy Holidays everyone!  For today's post I went with a quick & easy project--yet practical since it's created to store standard sized wallet photos (3 1/2" x 2 1/2" inches)--no cropping necessary!

These last few weeks prior to Christmas have been busy & exhausting.  The fact that I got sick somewhere in between there didn't help.  So I needed one of those projects that come together within an hour or two tops--yet can be used to store photos, journaling etc.

This mini is based on one of my earlier projects for Authentique--made several years ago.  I dug around & found the link.  Here it is if interested.  This post also included a tutorial on how I created the album.  I followed pretty much the same steps for this one--only the size has changed in order to accommodate the storage of wallet sized photos.

The mini measures 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" inches & is held closed with ribbon.  It does not have a spine since it's a fold out style of mini.  I've used the lovely 'Solitude' collection for my project.  The base of the mini was made with the 'Cobblestone' coordinating solid card stock from the Spectrum solids collection.

The pages consist of tags made from the 3" x 4" inch card apart elements found in the collection.  All I did to turn them into tags is punch a hole in the top center & then run ivory/red tulle through the hole & viola!

Each cut aparts had to be cropped about 1/4" of an inch on both sides in order to accommodate the size needed for the wallet sized photos.  So the final measurements for these tags are 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" inches.

On the back of each tag a wallet sized photo can be stored.  One can also store lose photos in the pockets if so desired.

Find below a video showcasing the mini.  Thanks for stopping by & enjoy!
