I'll Be Home For Christmas Midori Style Mini with Box Cover Using Nostalgia
Hello there friends and crafty peeps! I'm so excited to be sharing this project today. I can not tell you how much I love this Nostalgia Collection. It's retro and vintagy and all things Christmas. I decided to create a Midori styled mini album then tuck it into a a sweetly decorated box cover so this album can be displayed with seasonal decor and visiting friends and family will be invited to flip through and enjoy your favorite holiday memories.
These paper patterns and festive images really have my heart!
This box cover was easy to create and was a great way to use even more of the fabulous collection.
I've paired the collection with perfectly coordinated flowers and trims.
I always think sentiments in an old school typewriter font look extra vintagy. This one comes from the manufactures strip on the top of the paper. Why not use it if it's gorgeous?
Here is the cover of the mini album tucked inside. It's a Midori style with a hard cover created with a recycled pasta box. Want not waste not! I would normally add a big bow ribbon closer to a mini but in this case there is not much extra room inside the box so I opted for a magnetic closure.
The pages inside are created in the style of travelers notebooks. One insert for each side.
I had so much fun layering the patterns to create similar but different pages that all coordinate perfectly.
Simple embellishments like die cut greenery with fun glitter detail and images from the element sticker sheet are great accents!
There are loads of pages and it turns out to be perfect amount for peeps who love to make December Daily scrapbooks.
Please enjoy this video tutorial on how I created the box cover and for a flip through of the album inside.....
Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) Ginny
