Solitude Winter Waterfall Folio Tutorial

Hello, Friends!  Today I'm inviting you to discover the beauty of winter with a Solitude Winter Waterfall Folio Tutorial.  If you've always wanted to try making a folio, but don't know where to start, today is your lucky day.

This easy to make folio measures 8 1/2" x 6" with a 3/4" spine.  The base is made with 2 panels of kraft cardstock joined together with Scor-Tape.

The cover is wrapped with ribbon which serves as the closure.  And look at these rich colors and beautiful patterned papers!  Solitude is a beauty of a paper collection!

The interior of this folio features a 10 page waterfall cascade with a magnetic belly band closure. Each page in the waterfall measures 3 3/4" x 5 3/4" making it the perfect place to display 3" x 5" photos.

The right hand side of the folio is a large pocket with a 4 1/4" x 6 1/4 tab topped folio.  This will hold six 4" x 6" photos and one 4" x 4".

I've tucked in a fun little flap feature and some tuck spots here as well.
The pocket has room to mount one large photo.  And of course you can tuck additional photos into the pocket.

The tutorial below will guide you step by step through the process of building the folio base, creating the waterfall feature, pocket, folio and magnetic closures.  Then you can decorate the cover according to your own personal preferences.

You can easily create this folio in an afternoon, making it a great option for gift giving.  And you can change up the papers to use the design for any theme.  It's just a great basic folio design.
