4 Cards with the Confection Collection
Hello there friends and Authentique Fans! Ginny here with a selection of cards created with the oh so fun Confection Collection. I expected to like this collection but once I stared playing with it I could not stop! I mean it has sprinkles and doughnuts and ice creams!
The bright colors really drew me in as well as the whimsical images.
This first card is a shaker. I could not resist topping that cone with a sequin mix perfect for the ice cream colors. Looks like cherry and pistachio? I cut the frame and added the fun sentiment from the die cut sheet then topped it with coordinating flowers. That gorgeous minty color is Spectrum Robin's Egg Cardstock. not only for the frame but also to mat the patterned papers.
Since I didn't need to leave room for a large frame for this card I was able to work in more of those patterned papers. The image is cut with a circle die and popped up on foam spacers for loads of dimension. It also has a border of the sweet pink pattern on the back of the cut apart sheet. More flowers here and another sentiment...this time added with spacers to make it more of a focal element. The Be Happy image clipped to the top of the card is actually the center cut from the doughnut image from one of the other cards. I think it looks pretty cute added as a secondary sentiment.
Here is another shaker card. This time instead of the focal image being inside the shaker I chose to create a mini shaker and added it to the sentiment. It's fun and it helps to make sense of the large yellow block on the mostly pink and blue color scheme. I didn't include flowers on this card but there are added details like the sequins, crisp white doily, and another clipped on die cut.
Last but not least is the Enjoy Doughnuts card. Once again I got out my circle die to trim this image from it's background. There's a layer of that sweet pink border and the center was cut out so I could tuck in the sentiment. I liked the idea of including that sprinkle pattern instead of leaving it all pink in the center. Coordinating flowers are arranged with some loopy twine bows and leaves cut from holographic cardstock. A simple bow and sequins and this is one sweet greeting card.
