Happy Father's Day from All of Us!
Father's are so special to each of us. They come in all different styles, by birth, adoption, friend,
proximity, and so many other ways. Not all dads are the same, and not
all took the same path to fatherhood. Sunday though, we celebrate every
single one of you. Thank you for all you do, and all you have done. We
each have fathers and fatherly figures who mean the world to us. We hope
that this inspires you to also celebrate the dad you have in your life.

My
dad was my hero! So I was thrilled to find all these wonderful
sentiments from Authentique's Mister Collection Kit. I've worked them
up into a vintage card folio that expresses my feelings about my
father. Although Dad is not here with me to celebrate, his honor,
integrity and father heart have shaped my life. I am so grateful!
You'll find a mini tutorial, linked supply list and memories of my
amazing dad on my blog today.Supply List: Authentique Mister Collection Kit, Spectrum Denim Cardstock, a pocket, vintage buttons, magnets, denim fabric, ribbon, burlap string, pocket watch charm

For
today's Father's Day post, I've created two cards in the shape of a
shirt & tie! One was made with the latest masculine themed
collection 'Mister'--the second card was made with an older collection
'Suave'.
I
found several tutorials on creating these sort of cards on both
Pinterest & YouTube. In the end, I combined two different tutorials
to create my cards.
Each
card measures approximately 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" inches. The cards are kept
closed by tucking the front of the shirt underneath the collar! I
found these cards adorable & just right for Father's Day.
This is the card made with the 'Suave' collection.
This was made with the 'Mister' collection.
I've
matted the inside of the cards, providing ample room for writing a
sentiment. You can even include a small wallet sized picture!
Thanks for stopping by & have a fabulous Father's Day!

Father's Day is very difficult for me as I lost my dad in 1997 and my father-in-law in 2011. My dad loved my creations, from the time I crocheted a 12-foot long scarf, to the picture frame made from rocks, to the lopsided ashtray! Pop always acted like I was the world's greatest artist and crafter! He did not get to live to see my "Craft Emporium," but I know he would have loved seeing my creations.
My husband is not much for celebrations, but I still make him a card every year! He always says that I don't need to because he's not my dad! But...I just like to let him know he's a great father and husband!
I used the Mister Collection to make this wonderful, vintage suitcase box. (I included a bit of the Rustic Collection, too.) The box is approximately 4" x 5" x 2", which is perfect for a little gift or, even a mini album!
A drawer slides out of the suitcase to reveal a little mini album.
The little album is perfect for tucking away a few gift cards, love notes, or even wallet-sized photos for your special man!

Hoping
all our fathers have a wonderful day celebrating today. Fathers have
many roles besides being a dad.... they are husband, father, son,
brother, grandfather, coach, provider, etc. They are strong, loving and
so much more. Today we celebrate each dad those that are with us and
for some of us our precious memories and moments of our dad that is now
gone. I am sharing a celebration banner for the dad in my life.
