Let's get Back to School!

Hello friends, Daniela here to share with you a great little layout and 1 page card for your back to school memory keeping!

The Scholastic collection is darling and perfect to document your first day of school.

This is a great 2 page layout which you can place 4x4 and 4x6 photos.  I found a great cut file online for the apple border.  It is a great touch to the layout.  What I love most about this collection is the use of color.  The great Blue, Red and Yellow are all so perfect.  The details are amazing.  Making the yellow tablet paper was genius.

To add some fun and dimension, I've cut the yellow lined paper into a huge tag for the background.  Also I've placed another tag behind the cutapart "Everyone Loves Recess".  These little touches can add lots of fun and eye catching color to your layouts.  Don't be afraid to use things in a different way than originally intended.

I can't wait to put some first day of school photos of my son in these layouts.  All of the cutaparts and cardstock stickers are adorable and make sure your always popping them up with pop foam.  This gives a ton of dimension to your projects.  Also use a coordinating distress ink.  On this layout I've used a great red to make it pop!

Can I tell you that my  most favorite element in this collection is this little vintage pencil sharpener flag?  I've placed it right in the middle of my layout cause its so stinkin cute!

As an added project, I made up a 1 page little folio/card.   I'll place some photos and let my son write a little note and give this one to grandma.  This will be perfect and only used my scraps and a 12x12 piece of cardstock.

Folding the cardstock at 8 inches, gives you a great 4 inch pocket across the entire page.  Use your scraps and left over cardstock stickers to complete this super cute little gift.  Before I adhered the paper, I placed some red and white twine behind it so you can just tie it together.  I hope grandma loves this little momenta of his first day of school.

Enjoy your week friends, and keep crafting!
