10 Cards from 4 Sheets of Calendar Collection
Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with 10 cards to share. Yes you read that correctly. I created 10 cards with the October pages from the all new Calendar collection.
I'm always drawn to plaids and this gorgeous version is perfect for Halloween! One of the 12 x 12 sheets was this lovely pattern so I decided to to use it as the base for 3 of the A2 sized cards. There is plaid on the inside as well. The focal images and tags are on the cut apart sheet and I layered them on a simple white die cut doily and topped them off with coordinating bow.
I was able to use the off cuts from the plaid along with the sweet polka dot to create the base for these cards. The smaller cut aparts are stacked on a squarish die cut...this time cut from black cardstock and finished with the same plaid bow.
The patterns for these cards was the backside of the 12 x 12 page of larger cut aparts. Layered on top are elements from the smaller cut apart page. You could easily decide to clip these images apart for smaller add ons.....but I liked them grouped together for a bigger impact. Kinda reminds me of movie theater posters.. No bows for these...but I did add some die cut glitter stars and real vintage buttons.
For the last 2 cards I did a bit of patchwork to create the base or layering elements and included the stars and buttons.
All this from 4 sheets of paper with only black cardstock added for borders.

If you like clean and simple card designs then these will be right up your alley! I like to think of them more as sweet and simple as they are not 1 layer with no embellishments but the design of each is uncomplicated and easy to reproduce.
