Rejoice Collection Christmas Rolodex Style Mini Album - Part 2
Hello again! If you remember my post from earlier this month, I shared a fun way to record some Christmas memories with my Rolodex style mini album. I felt that this would be a
perfect way to snag a couple of fun events, mini photos, quotes, or
memories on the back of each card. Since Christmas is quickly
approaching, the Rejoice Collection was the perfect collection for this project.
The box was super easy to make. I altered it a bit from the tutorial, but that was only to make it a little easier to create. I follow THIS tutorial on YouTube from Little Hot Tamale. I thought that this was probably the easiest way to make this box, but I did have to use watercolor paper instead of scrapbook paper as the measurements called for paper that was larger than 12x12". More information on how I made this box is on my previous post.
The cards are simply cut using a file folder die cut like THIS one. I die cut the pages from my 12x12" Rejoice papers, and figured out the order before cutting the file folders. This way, I could pre-plan which side the file folder tab would go on.
Each card uses the Rejoice Collection, and includes various pieces from the Elements Die Cuts page, or the Details Cardstock Stickers.
Each card also features the fabulous patterned papers from the Rejoice Collection. The sturdy cardstock makes a perfect backdrop for all of the fun features and elements.
By laying out the cards all together, you can make sure that the numbers are not all on the same side, or that the layout of each card is varied throughout the series.
Little touches like dimensional adhesive, fringe, ribbons, and trimming some of the sentiments from both the Elements Die Cuts and Details Cardstock stickers into different sizes or shapes just a little more special.
For a few of the cards, I used the file folder die to cut the image to better fit the card.
The traditional Santa from the Details Cardstock Sticke was just too perfect for the 25th card.
All together, ready for some journaling or photos!
The Rolodex style to this make flipping through each day a breeze.
And there's the last day! Merry Christmas!
Thanks for coming back to check out the rest of this fun project. If you missed the first part of the Rejoice Collection Rolodex Style Mini Album, make sure to check it out.
