Spectrum Love-Pug Shaped Valentine's Card
I love the Spectrum Series as it is perfect for die cuts and using my Silhouette. Today I have turned a standard cut file into a Valentine's card. This project utilizes the Spectrum Series, some adhesive and a die cutting machine. For the die cut, I used the Pug with Heart Sunglasses die cut from Little Luxuries Loft.
To start, I cut out all of the pieces with my Silhouette Cameo. I sized this card to be about 7x8", so I will have to create an envelope to fit it, versus a standard sized envelope.
The body of the pug uses Antique Lace with the details from the feet and ears cut from Hot Cocoa, and the wrinkles cut from Honeycomb.

The glasses were a combo of Red Licorice and Black Jack. The nose and mouth pieces were cut from Black Jack.

The cute sweater was layered from two die cut pieces in Tricycle Red and Licorice. Last, the tongue and cute heart on the sweater were cut from Tickled Pink.
To create a card from the cut file, cut a slightly smaller version of the backing piece, and use a scoring board to create a straight fold.
Once the fold is created, use some strong adhesive to attach this to the main shape. In this case, I had to cut off the tail in order for it not to show behind the main image. If you alter the backing shape, it may fit better, and nobody will see it when the card is closed.
I cannot wait to send this cutie away! Make sure to tag us with #authentiquepaper on any of your projects! I would love to see some of your shaped cards using various die cuts.
Authentique Supplies Used: Spectrum Series (Tickled Pink, Tricycle Red, Black Jack, Antique Lace, Hot Cocoa, Honeycomb, Red Licorice)
Other Supplies: Dimensional Adhesive (Stampin' Up), Ranger Multi Medium Matte, Silhouette Cameo 3
