My Guy- Slimline Father's Day Card

Hi, Friends! Mitsyana Wright here and I am so excited to be one of the newest members joining the Authentique Family! I am an avid cardmaker and I especially love to make slimline cards And today I have a slimline Father's Day card made with Authentique's NEW Manly Collection!

I used three different sheets from the Manly Collection (Manly Three, Manly Four, & Manly) as well as the Manly Details Stickers (MAN009).

My card was made from 110 lb. kraft cardstock and measure 9 1/4"x 4" (folded).
For the mat, I used 110 lb. white cardstock that measured 9" x 3 3/4".
I cut the hexagon patterned paper (Manly Three) to 6" x 3 1/2" and the dark blue flourish patterned paper (Manly Four) to 3 1/2" x 3 3/4".

I used my Mega Runner to layer and attach the hexagon and flourish papers onto the white cardstock with the flourish paper slightly overlapping the hexagon piece. Then attached that piece onto the kraft card base.

I cut out this cool bucking cowboy picture and Pony Express advertisement-looking panels from the Manly Eight sheet.

I trimmed down the Pony Express sign at a slight diagonal, to give it kind of a lean, and adhered it to the card front just above and butting up against the blue flourish (Manly Four) paper.

Then I attached the bucking cowboy picture at a slight lean in the opposite direction.

I used stickers from the "Manly" Details Sticker sheet to accent the bottom half of my card.

I loved this little strip that says... MAN, MYTH, LEGEND... This totally made me laugh because my husband always uses this term and since this is a father's day card for him I thought it was suiting.

I also loved the TILE stickers. There are two sets on this sheet- My GUY & My MAN... I decided to use the "My GUY" on this card and laid them in a wonky line instead of straight across.

I found this tiny little red fishtail pennant that reads "He's KIND" and attached it to the bottom corner of the bucking cowboy picture.

Then I created a couple of multi-looped bows using gray silk seam binding ribbon and natural hemp twine. I took the two bows and fastened them together with more twine and topped it with a red button.

And here is my finished card...

I really love how rugged and rustic these papers are! They are definitely fitting of their "MANLY" name. And they are absolutely perfect for making all your GUY crafts!

I hope you enjoyed my first tutorial and really hope you come back and visit again!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
