Christmas in July 4 Sheet Challenge with Calendar Collection

Hello friends and Authentique Paper fans! Ginny here with the next project in my 4 Sheet Challenge Series. Each month I'm taking the 4 pages from the Calendar collection and creating projects using as much of the pages as I can.  We are celebrating Christmas in July so I chose to work with the December pages.
I'm visiting an old friend with this project and that is the good ol paper bag mini album. It's where I got my start in mini album making and I thought it would be a great way to stretch the 4 pages into an entire finished book.
This mini measures in at 6 x 5 inches so I'm getting the best use out of the 12 x 12 papers without causing a lot of off cuts.

The paper lunch bags are also a great economical base for minis as the come many to a package and all the layers make for nice chunky sturdy pages.

I mixed and matched the patterned papers to create different looks on my pages.

By carefully planning what cut aparts to include I was able to use the B side of the patterns to cover the pocket pages. This give me more variety for infinity combinations.

Layering the off cuts onto the pockets adds detail like this strip running behind the Santa image. I used the solids sheet as a border to keep the busy patterns from looking too crazy.
Leaving some of the smaller cut aparts as a block gave me additional tags to tuck into my pockets. It's a great place to add pictures and journaling.
I was able to incorporate more of the larger sized vintage images as nearly full sized tip ins. This really adds to the real estate in the mini.
There's plenty of room in the pockets to tuck in additional flat mementos and keepsakes.

Please join me for a tutorial on how I created  this mini:
