Furry & Bright Christmas Card
Hey, friends! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! And today, I'll be using papers from the Christmas Greetings Collection to create this adorable Christmas card for the dog-lover in your life!
I started with a sheet of Christmas Greetings One and Christmas Greetings Three. From Christmas Greetings One, I cut out the panel with "Furry and Bright" and the one with the puppy with a gift dangling from its mouth. That titled head did it for me! That little guy is too cute!
I first was going to just use the puppy with the decorative frame intact but decided to cut him completely out instead.
Then, I used a Big Shot Machine and a Tim Holtz Stitched Oval die to cut put the Furry and Bright.
Next, I ran a piece of green and white cardstock through my Xyron Create-A-Sticker. Then die cut Pine tree branches from the green cardstock and berry sprigs from the white cardstock.
I left the white sprigs as is but inked up the edges of the pine needles with Forest Moss Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool.
For my card base, I knew I wanted it to be a slimline card. So I cut a piece of cream card stock to 9 1/4" x 4". The maximum size I create my slimline that will still allow them to fit into a legal size envelope.
For the background paper, I used Christmas Greetings Three and cut it to measure 9" x 3 7/8".
I used a We R Memory Keepers Stub Corner Punch to cut the corners of the card base and the background panel.
Then I used my Mega Runner to attach the two together.
I attached my pine tree branches to the card front in a sort of draping arch. Then laid the berries over the branches.
I added foam adhesive to the back of my die-cut Furry and Bright sentiment and added it alongside my arch.
I added a multi-looped bow topped with a red button to the top of my sentiment.
And added foam adhesive to the back of the puppy I cut out earlier and attached him to the from of my card.
Look at that sweet face! How stinking adorable is he?!
And here is my finished card...
I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy project for the day and it inspires you to create an adorable card for the dog lover in your life!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
