Friday Flashback - Valentines Boxes using the Retired Crush Collection

Hello, and Happy Friday! For today's project, I wanted to break out one of my favorite retired Valentines collections: the Crush collection. I always loved the combination of pinks, reds, and aqua. I know that Valentines at school will be a little different this school year, so I'm preparing a few things for my kiddos to make the day special.

The first valentine is a fun little treat box with a hot air balloon and cloud. I really liked this little box, as it was a fun way to use the aqua paper in the cloud. I love the combo of red and aqua, and the little hearts were just too adorable.

Adding some foam tape in between each of the layers made this project look a little more special, and give it some much needed dimension. The cute little box was perfect for conversation hearts, candy-coated chocolates, or some other smaller candies. Instead of gluing this together, I will close it with just a piece of washi tape, otherwise it will be destroyed as soon as it's opened.

The second of the two valentines boxes is a fun heart shaped box. I added an extra layer using the inline function on my Silhouette and turned those layers into a shaker feature. A pinch of thin clay hearts made this fun and interactive.

In the box is space enough for a bunch of candy. A few extra embellishments from the matching Details sticker sheet and Elements die cuts make this into a more personalized valentine.
I hope that this inspires you to break out those favorite papers you've been saving and use them to create a fantastic valentine for someone you love. Make sure to tag #authentiquepaper so that we can feature your work.
