Be(you)tiful & Irresistible with Art Glitter!

Good morning fellow scrappers!  Kay here with a project I've made by combining one of Authentique's latest releases; the Be(you)tiful collection & Art Glitter!  What a fabulous combo indeed.  I wanted to showcase the versatility of using a few of Art Glitter's micro beads & glitter with acrylic so I made an acrylic based card.

Along the edges of the base of my acrylic card I've carefully adhered strips of 1/8" inch two sided tape. I then applied Small Black Glass Beads by Art Glitter.  These small beads stick perfectly onto the two sided tape.  I then used a mask and with a small brush spread clear dry adhesive by Art Glitter onto the mask--while still wet I poured the yellow glitter onto the mask.  Finally I removed the mask & voila--instant glittery background!

I finished up my background by adhering a piece from the 6x6 bundle of the Be(you)tiful collection from behind my acrylic base--since it's acrylic, it's all transparent & the patterned paper highlights my glittered background.  I have to say that I'm in love with the colors from the Be(you)tiful collection--the grays & yellows with hints of orange all coordinate perfectly...

Here's what my card looks like when opened.  You can fully appreciate the background in this photo.

In this close up you can really see the nice effect the beads & glittered background gives this acrylic card.  It's hard to capture with a camera but in person this is quite the shimmery & bright card!

Here is a fun layered mini album cover using the beautiful Authentique papers from the "Irresistible" collection.

 I wanted a little texture and bling, so I added some ART glitter on random hearts.  These were easily done by adding the ART glitter glue ,then sprinkle some glitter over the glue , shake off and let dry.  I think it added such a nice contrast to these pretty papers.
