A Be(you)tiful Card Set

Hello there, this is Eva with my first official post as an Authentique Design Team Member and I am so excited to share with you a tutorial of all things.  I am sharing how to create a card set and sure hope you enjoy what you see!

Today's featured collection is non other than our newest
And it is beautiful indeed.

Here is the card set I created using these pretty papers and stickers.  My focus was on creating doily accents for the cards, so I will show you how I created my little doily clusters.

First I gathered all my papers, die cut all what I needed to die cut and this case I used My Favorite Things Die-namics.  I wanted to create a similar look and all I wanted to change is the papers on my cards to show unity in the set.

One of the tips I can give you is that I love to make everything dimensional, even the leaves, so once I die cut the flourish you see below, I used my Imaginisce Petal roller tool with the ball end and a mouse pad and I pressed down on the back of the leaves to make them more realistic looking.

Next I started building my doilies.  For this sample I used "Expressed" patterned paper and just adhered my flourish on top of it.

Next I started to add my stickers.  I just love these "details" stickers, as there are so many cute things you can add to a project with them.  One of them was a tag, so I added some May Arts string bow to it.  I adhered them with pop dots.

As a final touch I added sweet little Petaloo flowers from the Penny Lane collection.  I just thought it was a perfect touch.  Once finished with all my doilies, I just adhered them with pop dots to the front of my cards as the focal point.

Once all the cards were assembled I add Hello die cut words to it using the same grey card stock I use for my card base to tie it together.  Here is my first card.

Here is a close up shot of it.  You can see more details of it.

Here is my second card.

Again the close up shot of it.

And finally here is the third card.

And the close up of that.

Well, hope you like the card set.  I have another card to share with you made with the Be(you)tiful line. The colors in this line are so fun to play with!

The "details" 12x12 sticker sheet has the most adorable stickers available and I choose this little oval shaped one, which I backed up with My Favorite Things Die-namics dies.  It was just perfect to layer it

I also added some pretty flowers, which were also made with dies and I used the "Expressed" 12x12 patterned paper to create them.  And just to mix up the look, I added some pretty Petaloo flowers as well.  The ribbon which I thought matched the papers are by May Arts, which I topped with another flower.  I also added a little sticker into the cluster of flowers again from the "details" sticker sheet.

Sure hope you like what you see and get inspired to create some "Be(you)tiful cards using some of these ideas.

Thanks for stopping by!

  16. That last comment shouldn't have been allowed to be posted. Do you have your review comments on, before you allow to post them? It would be a shame for stuff like that to take up space that your admirers could be using. Awesome tutorial. One of the best I've seen. Your work is beautiful. You're very talented. I forget, did you post the papers, ink, dies, paper, etc.that you used? That's so helpful to us amateurs when you do. Welcome and once again, beautiful art.
