Eva Dobilas
Hi there, this is Eva here today. I am here with a couple of projects for today using our gorgeous Glistening collection and some pretty Petaloo flowers.
My first project is a shaped card. It's no secret how much I love shaped cards, so I started my card die cutting my card base using Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Die-Nesting Lace Doilies out of our "twinkle" paper. Than I cut a circle shape fitting in my doily card base out of our "dazzle" paper. Added a pretty lace border using a Cheery Lynn die and tied a seam binding ribbon around it.
Next I added my tag with the sentiment which came from the "components" die cut paper accents, which I tied a jute around. And as a final touch I added the pretty Tea Stained Cream Dahlias and Darjeeling Tea Stained Petites and added a Cherry Lynn leaf die cut.
Here is another look of the card.
My next project is a tag. And I added some mixed media with this by using stencils as well. For my tag I used a purchased tag and covered it with the "dazzle" paper. Using Dylusion Diamond of a border stencil, I laid it on top of my tag and added light molding paste on top of it. Removed my stencil dried it and added light blue chalk in on top of the dried raised images, which matched the colors from the collection perfect.
Next I took the Petaloo Fancy Corners chipboard and covered it with light blue chalk ink and added my Petaloo flowers on top of it.
Next I took a couple of the die cut accents from the "components" die cut sheet, added some twine to one of them and buttons to the other and adhered them to the tag. I added another flower and also a pretty Petaloo lace trim in aqua color to match my colors once again.
Here is another angle of the finished tag.
I sure hope you like these projects created with these beautiful lines!

John Petersen
This week at Authentique Paper we're joining Petaloo for a Blog Hop. We've partnered with Petaloo previously and I always look forward to working with their embellishments because they pair so well with Authentique Papers! Since it's getting closer to the Holidays and my Holiday theme is always snowflakes, I decided to create this photo frame with the "Glistening" paper collection embellished with flowers and ribbons from Petaloo. I wanted to use this photo of my grandparents (early 70's I think) and I thought the flowers would be the a great match to the one my Grandmother is wearing in the photograph. And since the picture was from the Holidays, what better paper to choose than "Glistening"?
This is an easy project to replicate and doesn't break the bank! Here's the base of my project- an inexpensive wood frame. This one is from Hobby Lobby but you can find similar frames at almost any craft store.
Start by popping out the photo portion of the frame so that the window is open. I placed ScorIt tape along the inner and outer edges of the frame, along with a few pieces in the middle to hold down the paper. Next I placed the "Glitter" paper down onto the frame, and using the edges of the frame, trimmed the excess paper with a cutting tool. I then edged the outside of the frame with Memento Luxe Gray Flannel. To decorate the window for the picture, I used the #6 and #7 Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles die to create the elegant frame from the "Foundations" paper.
I used the same Spellbinders' die set to cut the layering pieces to the right. From top to bottom, the "Glistening" papers used are "Foundations" (edged with Gray Flannel), "Dazzle" (edged with Toffee Crunch), and "Twinkle" (edged with Gray Flannel). Dimensional adhesive was used to adhere all of these pieces.
The focal point of these layers is the square bezel I created using the "Sparkle" paper from the 6x6 paper pack. When I poured in the ICE Resin, I also added Mica to give some sparkle to the resin. Ribbon is pulled through the shanks and wrapped around the layering piece below.
Beneath the photo window I added the Warm Memeories sentiment tag from the "Components" sheet with coordinating ribbon.
Petaloo flowers are above and below the bezel layers, along with Petaloo Lace Trim around he edge of the frame to complete this project.
