Mini Albums & Home Decor Ideas with Authentique Paper & Leaky Shed Studio!

This was my first experience working with Leaky Shed Studio products...what a delight... I cannot wait to try out more of their fabulous goods!  

For my assignment today I chose the Love Squared Album and paired it up with the Smitten Collection by Authentique.

  The cover of the album is cut into the LOVE motif shown. I simply traced it onto two different patterned papers (one for the front and one for the back) and then cut out.  I used a craft knife to carve out the inner-parts.  For a more finished look, I added a detail of baker's twine around the edge of the letters.  To do so, I like to use a fine-point glue pen and then press the twine into place.

Not wanting to take away from what the album actually spelled out, I decided to focus the embellishments around the letter "O".  I backed the opening with a tracing of the shape and then added the cupid chipboard cut-out over it.  I glittered the cupids using a glitter glue and glitter by Martha Stewart. 

The inner pages are a nice, large 9.5" X 9.5" size...lots of room for pictures.  On the first inside page I didn't want to compete with the front cover, so I made sure to place the sticker where it wouldn't show through the lettering.

No need to cut!  The 6X6 paper pad bundle pages make the perfect mats!  I added a little zig-zag stitching around the edge...keeps things in place, plus adds a nice detail :)

I turned the pretty scroll pieced chipboard pink by using a VersaMagic "Pixie Dust" ink pad!  After dabbing on the color, I used my heat gun to dry and set the ink.

And on this final page, I left the key as-is...I love the little detail engrained into the piece!

My personal preference for adhering the thick cardstock paper (such as Authentique's) to the chipboard is to use Sookwang adhesive tape.

The album also comes with three large rings to hold the pages together.  Tie on some pretty ribbons in knots and bows and you'll have a beautiful keepsake to give or keep!

Good Morning! This is a cute mini book that I created using Leaky Shed's Camera Scrapbook Album. The great part of this mini, is that all of the sections are separate, so that it is really easy to cover with various papers and then glue down to create some amazing dimension.

For the cover of this mini, I started with Expedition, then covered the middle sections with Touring. Lastly, I used the amazingly inky black paper from the back of the Voyage. I love how black that paper is. The large sticker is from the Details sheet and Elements stickers for the letters. I just love that this mini reminds me of the boat pictures inside by using the May Arts Cord to make it look like a life ring. 

My second project is a sweet Valentine heart decor. I found a paper heart, painted it with acrylic paints, then added pieces from the Smitten Collection (Promise and Components papers) along with Leaky Shed's fantastic Watch Parts.

I really liked how the gears look like they are making the heart run.

Hi there, this is Eva sharing a pretty 8x10 canvas created with our upcoming gorgeous Flourish Collection, which I paired up with equally gorgeous chipboards by Leaky Shed Studio.

I covered my canvas with the pretty papers from the Flourish Collection, than I  chose to work with one of the stickers that was perfect for spring and backed it up with a label, which I cut out using Spellbinders Gold Labels Four die.

I started adding the pretty Clock chipboard and the Butterfly on Garden Sprig chipboard.  I added some gesso on top of them.

Than I added some pretty Petaloo flowers from the Botanica collection as it was just perfect for this spring themed canvas.

I hope you love this project just as much as I did making it.  The chipboards are just a beautiful addition to this canvas along with the beautiful papers and flowers.
