"Suave" Gift Wrap and Cards
I love to make gift packaging. Pretty packaging always makes even the simplest of gifts just a bit more special. Today, I am featuring the Suave Collection, which I absolutely love as the colors are just divine. The patterns are also fun, and I got to include mustaches!! One of my favorite trends.
The first is a cute little pillow box that I cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I used the Heart Pillow Box as my base, but altered the size to maximize my 12x12 piece of Robust paper. For the decoration on the box, I cut smaller rectangles from both Dashing and Stately, then used my Corner Chomper in Stub to chomp off the edges. I tied the box with some 3/4May Arts twill ribbon and used some twine from my stash and a Circles and Scallops Cardstock Die Cut for a tag.
The next bag is really fun and easy. I started with this fun box shape from the Silhouette Online Store. The bag closes on itself, but I didn't like how you could see the fastener, so I carefully used some dot adhesive so that the Circles and Scallops Cardstock Die Cut could cover the "latch", but not impede it's use. I love the striped herringbone look of Suited paper. It's just so fetching!
The last little box would be perfect for a sweet treat for someone special. I love this beautiful wired ribbon from May Arts. There is something about over-sized ribbons that I really love. I created the Star Top Box using Crisp 12x12 paper and my Silhouette Cameo.
The last little project I made was a set of fun mustache cards. I snagged a cute little Christmas Card from the Silhouette Online Store, but wanted to make them fit the theme of the Suave papers. I ungrouped the scalloped portion so that I could delete the wreath from the cut, then added in various mustaches from the 6 Mustache Set. I then backed each of the white mustaches with various patterns from Crisp, Robust and Suited papers. I love the clean and simple look to each of them.
Since I used black paper, to write your sentiment inside, either line the card with a lighter paper, or use a light gel pen to write with. Make sure to use some dimensional adhesive between the patterned and white papers in order to make your shape stand out.
Have fun creating some cute and amazing gift wrap and card sets using your Authentique Papers!
