A Happy Girl is A Beautiful Girl!

A black and white photo of a beautiful girl looks even more beautiful when paired with the "Classique: Beauty Collection" and made into a layout.  And today we're sharing a little tutorial on how to give larger matted photos some lift without using foam adhesive.

To start, a vertical base was created by cutting a couple of the Beauty papers and layering them together, along with a strip of paper doily.

After matting the 5X5 photo onto a swatch of paper, a smaller piece of corrugated paper was cut.

An adhesive backing was added to the corrugated side of the paper and then adhered to the back of the matted photo. Why use corrugated paper in place of foam adhesive?  For a photo as large as this it's nice to have a solid piece to keep the photo from becoming dented in places where there isn't any foam adhesive.

To finish up this quick layout, several nesting dies from Spellbinders were used to make a fun horizontal border.  The larger hearts were simply adhered to the bottom of the photo and the smaller hearts and embellishments were added with foam adhesive.
