Hello Spring! Easter Treasures with Authentique Paper & Petaloo!

If you like to make cards for the holiday, you're going to love the Treasure Enhancements Cut Apart paper. Each 3x4 journaling card is filled with adorable Easter graphics and sentiments that are perfect for cardmaking. Paired with Petaloo's gorgeous Textured Elements flowers and Fancy Trims, you can create detailed beautiful cards in no time at all.

As you can see, the Enhancements journaling cards really take center stage on a simple pieced card base, and mix beautifully with those fabulous burlap flowers and trims. The top of each Enhancement clip has been embellished with a die cut tab from the Components die cut sheet, and layered onto matching paper from the 6x6 paper pad. By coordinating the tabs with the patterned paper, you create a seamless flow, tailor made just for you.

The bottom of the Enhancements clips have been accented with pom pom trim from Petaloo's Taupe Fancy Trim set, then added to the center of the card base. The backgrounds have been pieced with a combo of prints from both the 6x6 and 12x12 papers. Mixing the size and scale of the various papers adds an extra eye catching element to card designs.

Finally, the cards have been wrapped in Cream Crochet Lace trim and a large Ivory Burlap Blossom was added to the center of the tie. Each flower was dabbed in a bit of paint to coordinate with the colors of the journaling card. Two bottom petals trimmed from the Pistachio Burlap Blossoms make a perfect set of leaves for each flower.

The Treasure Collection and Petaloo flowers and butterflies combined created the most perfect Spring layout. I started with a great photo from last year's Easter dinner that matched the colors in the Treasure Collection.

I really wanted to bring out the green in the photo, so was immediately drawn to the fantastic green Petaloo Burlap Blossoms. I fussy-cut the egg from the Enhancements sheet, and the Components helped to make an easy title for the image.

I then added a Burlap Blossoms and a couple of the Botanica Minis to fill out the layout. The Botanica Minis were great to fill in the smaller areas, as well as to add an accent to the right side of the photograph.

To add just a little more color and shine into the layout, I took one of the Spring Berry Clusters in Peach/Green and placed it between the two larger flowers.

The wonderful butterflies from the Burlap Blossoms set were the greatest finish to this layout. Afterwards, I just cut apart a few crystal and pearl blings to emphasize the flowers and the butterflies. 

The addition of Petaloo products really made this layout shine.
